What was your background/work or education experience in your field before you began working at the credit union? My background has always been in business and finance. My degree is in Business Management. I’ve spent over 28 years in the banking industry and several years as a small business owner.

Can you walk us through one of your most important tasks and explain why it’s significant for our members? One of my tasks is to seek new business opportunities within our community and build strategic partnerships with centers of influence. This is significant because the credit union has a wide range of products and services tailored to suit everyone’s financial needs. Bringing awareness of what we can do for our members can help them make better financial decisions.

What personal values do you bring to your role here at the credit union? How do you see these values reflected in the work of First Financial? I believe that everyone should be treated with respect regardless of their background or financial status. In my role, I often encounter diverse groups of people on different financial paths. The respect that is extended to a one million dollar account is the same for a five dollar account. The overall experience is for every member to feel valued, as we build long-term banking relationships.

How do you personalize your service to meet the diverse needs of our members? I create a memorable experience for each member through active listening, and getting to know them and building a relationship. I am in a better position to fulfill their financial needs while respecting their time and choice for banking with us.

Can you describe the team you work with and how you collaborate? I work with a collaborative team. My colleagues and I work toward a common goal of putting each member’s financial needs First. We ensure that our departments work in a unified and strategic way so that our members have a pleasant banking experience.

What’s the best thing about being part of the team at First Financial? The best thing about being part of the team at First Financial is that I can share my ideas on improving our work processes and it’s always appreciated.

In your opinion, what sets First Financial apart from other financial institutions? Our product offering and the individualized service that our members experience is what sets First Financial apart from other financial institutions.

What’s something unique or surprising about you that members or other co-workers might not know? I am an event planner and I have a passion for interior decorating.
