August 1 is National Night Out! Check out where your local town is participating:

August 3-6: Clamfest in the Highlands – 4-day action packed event featuring the freshest seafood from local restaurants, spirits, live entertainment, thrill rides, games and more. August 5: Blood Drive and Free Shred Event at First Financial’s Corporate Headquarters Parking Lot (Howell). The blood drive takes place from 9am-1pm and 9am-12pm for the shred truck. Advanced registration for blood donations is preferred. The shred event is open to the public, and there is a limit of 5 bags per person. August 7: Full Moon Beach Camping (Seaside Heights) from 7pm to sunrise. Participants are invited to bring their own tent and camp overnight on the beach. July 2: Independence Day Celebration at Allaire Village (Wall) from 11am-4pm. The members of the Howell Iron Works celebrate the founding of our nation with an Independence Celebration. Experience a day in the life of people during the 1830s. The school master will be holding school lessons for visitors and villagers alike. Saturday, August 27: This is an event you won’t want to miss! Rock the Farm is a premier music and food truck festival at Brookdale Community College (Lincroft). Wednesday, July 13-Sunday, July 17: Get the family ready for the 14th Annual Freedom Fest State Fair at the Horse Park of New Jersey (Allentown)!   • Mommy and Me Tea Party: Celebrate Mother’s Day with this great event for all ages. Learn about the history of tea and how it shaped our lives – there will also be storytelling and a puppet show. Saturday, May 14 – Sunday, May 15: One of the largest seafood festivals in the nation is back for their 30th annual celebration – the Belmar Seafood Festival! Saturday, May 21: Shop through fine art, handmade crafts and historical antiques to the backdrop of live entertainment and the beautiful waters of the Raritan Bayshore at Keyport’s 2nd Annual Antiques and Artisan Festival. Be sure to treat all your senses and enjoy the delicious work of the town’s lively bar and restaurant community too! Guests can enjoy this FREE event and can reserve a canvas from the Arts Society of Keyport, bring their own supplies and paint along the waterfront. A free trolley service will be running between the Aberdeen-Matawan train station and the festival from 11am – 6pm. Additional parking is available at the train station and is free on weekends. Sunday, May 22Ocean Fun Days is the New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium’s annual public outreach event and this year it is being held at Sandy Hook Beach.
